A major change to the county’s comprehensive plan is set to happen this Tuesday, July 17th. The county commissioners will be asked to approve this change for the Grand Oaks proposed development located on SR-16 near the outlet malls.

I noticed there wasn’t any coverage of the City of St. Augustine Planning and Zoning board’s most recent meeting on July 3rd to determine if a PUD should be granted to DR Horton to develop the Fish Island peninsula; south of the SR-312 bridge on Anastasia Island.
Just two months after they held their first meeting, on April 11, 2018, well before City Manager John Regan ever reviewed any of their work product or had a clue what was happening with his hand-picked volunteer group, dubbed the “Confederate Memorial Contextualization Advisory Committee”, City Hall wastes $4,536.41 with their sweetheart draftsman Jeremy Marquis for artist renderings that are destined for the trash can Tuesday morning.

I was outraged that the wonderful singers and orchestra, that tried to perform in the Plaza on the afternoon of the Fourth, had practiced and invested so much time to prepare for a performance that was totally ruined.
