Historic City News entertainment reporters have learned that Sara Pedigo, assistant professor of art and design at Flagler College, will be a “featured artist” through the end of December at Plum Gallery; located at 9 Aviles Street in downtown Saint Augustine’s historic district.

Courtney Kraft, a teacher at Hartley Elementary School, informed local St Johns County news reporters at Historic City News that she has received funding for a “Hands on Alphabet” project through “DonorsChoose.org”; a nonprofit organization that connects donors with public school teachers who need classroom materials.

Daniel D Holiday, the St Augustine leather-craftsman known to his friends as “the spirit of Espiritu”, came to coffee on the Plaza this morning; bearing a handmade replica of one of three-dozen fasteners needed to hold the riggings on the 16th Century Spanish Caravel under construction at St Augustine Marine Center’s 23-acre Riberia Street shipyard.
