Senior City Attorney, Ron Brown, and Assistant Attorney, Carlos Mendoza, not elected by the people, apparently believe they are hired to usurp power from the private sector to grow a bloated city bureaucracy.
In a time of falling revenue, rising taxpayer discontent and tough talk about the need for local governments to cut costs, the toughest talk of all is coming from the City of Crestview.

During this time of the year I would like to remind all of our citizens, as well as visitors, that St. Johns County schools are back in session — which means that our children are going to and from school daily.

Roy Alaimo, president of the St. Johns County Young Republicans, and I went to the Duval County Republican Executive Committee today for a “meet and greet” with gubernatorial candidate Attorney General Bill McCollum and his wife Ingrid.
Mayor Joe Boles and 450th Executive Director Dana Ste. Claire are putting great stock in their ability to deliver a celebration for our 450th birthday that has been credited with the ability to revitalize the city’s economy with no less dispatch than Ponce de Leon’s mythical Fountain of Youth.
