Historic City News reporters were watching last night as John Regan, St. Augustine’s City Manager, moved a commitment made in the June 13th commission meeting into a reality; receiving approval from the commission to adopt a new iconic logo for the 450th Anniversary events.

City Commissioner Errol Jones deduced that the St. Augustine Commission was “wasting time” during the regular meeting tonight discussing options and considering whether or not to accept a $400,000 settlement on the Inter-local agreement with the St. Johns County Recreation Department.

After winning approval from the Historic Architectural Review Board on June 16th, at the regular meeting of the St. Augustine City Commission tonight, unanimous approval was granted to erect a life-size statue of General Jorge (Georges) Biassou.
