Historic City News was informed that a 73-year-old St. Johns County man was arrested on 15-counts of possession of child pornography last Thursday following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.

Earlier this evening, Robert Benton “Ben” Ellis, a local pawn broker, was taken into custody, charged with three-counts of dealing in stolen property, then booked into the St Johns County Detention Facility where he is being held in lieu of $150,000 bond.

State Attorney R. J. Larizza reported to Historic City News that his a 40-year-old Port Orange man, convicted in June of 55-counts of possessing child pornography, was sentenced today to begin serving 825 years in a Florida state prison facility; the maximum possible penalty.
