Public Information Officer Mark Samson reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Police Department was called to a residence at 51 Bayview Drive yesterday, September 22nd, to serve a search warrant obtained pursuant to multiple tips from witnesses concerning illegal drug activity in the home.

Historic City News was notified by Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Kelshaw that a 17-year old St. Johns County teen was arrested on a charge of robbery by sudden snatching late this morning.

Mark Samson reported to Historic City News this morning that members of the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force of the US Marshal Service have taken 52 year-old Hiram Curtis Kearse into custody on a sexual assault charge that is a life felony.

This morning, Historic City News received word that the Brother-In-Law of murder victim Nicole Bush, would join members of the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff David Shoar to ask for the public’s help with information known about this crime.

Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News today that investigators with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation and other northeast Florida law enforcement agencies will be featured in next Friday’s edition of “Dateline” on NBC.

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Robbery-Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate a series of armed robberies to food delivery or taxi drivers that have occurred over the past year in the West Augustine area.

Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office are investigating several burglaries that occurred in the Marsh Creek subdivision since last Friday morning.
