Teenage girl escapes abduction in Flagler Estates
Historic City News reporters in St. Augustine have received word that St. Johns County Sheriff’s Detective Jennifer Wiesenfeld is searching for a man who a teenaged girl in Flagler Estates says attempted to abduct her.



Earlier today, Historic City News learned that St. Augustine City Commissioner Errol Donledy Jones has been released from custody at the St. Johns County Detention Facility after being arrested for resisting a police officer.
At about 8:00 p.m. last night, the Florida Highway Patrol reported to Historic City News that a Port Orange woman was killed when she collided with a semi-truck as she traveled north on I-95 from St. Augustine.
St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar announced to local Historic City News reporters in St. Augustine, that his office was recently awarded a “Solving Cold Cases with DNA” grant from the U.S. Department of Justice.
At about 8:15 a.m. this morning, sheriff’s spokesman, Sgt. C. E. Mulligan, reported to Historic City News that deputies were on the scene of a vehicular crash involving a passenger car and a school bus on SR-16 near Inman Road in St. Augustine.
As professional panhandlers have become more and more prevalent on the street corners at several congested intersections in St. Augustine, Historic City News recommends that police adopt tactics like those used in central Florida to improve driver awareness of seat belt laws, traffic control devices and unlawful speed.
