16th year tradition continues for Nights of Lights

When the Nights of Lights begins its 16th year on Saturday, November 21, it will continue what has become an evening of traditions in this city of age-old traditions.

City employees earning +$55K a year

Historic City News has compiled the following list of city workers in St. Augustine who earn an annual salary of $55,000 or more, plus benefits; nearly double the $34,572 average annual wage of workers in all industries reported on the St. Johns County website.

Mooring, navigation and dredging projects

Historic City News has been notified that the Harbor Management Plan and mooring field program are expected to go on the City Commission agenda for Monday, November 9th.

Culmination of St. Augustine Beach birthday events

The City of St. Augustine Beach birthday celebration will culminate on November 7th with a huge party at the Beach pier including live music, concessions, dancing in the streets, pirates and a big sand sculpting contest.

St. Johns County Legislative Delegation Meeting

Delegation Chairman Representative Ronald Renuart and the St. Johns County Legislative Delegation have announced the date for the St. Johns County Organizational meeting and general legislative hearing to Historic City News.

Romanza to be signature event during 450th

It has been announced to Historic City News that “Romanza”, a world-class, multi-day celebration of music, arts, theater, dance and food will serve as a signature event for the three-year-long celebration of the 450th anniversary of the founding of St. Augustine.
