Last Criminal Justice Academy class for 2010

St. Johns River Community College reported to Historic City News that the last class of cadets to graduate from the Criminal Justice Academy this year was recently recognized during a graduation ceremony.

Lydia Cladek signature worth $5 million

At the Federal Courthouse in Jacksonville yesterday, Historic City News reporter Kerry McGuire watched as U.S. Magistrate Thomas E. Morris decided to release St. Augustine Beach businesswoman Lydia Cladek — to the surprise and chagrin of many of her more than 1,000 investors who say they were bilked out of $113 million.

Celebrate Kwanzaa at Solomon Calhoun Center

Howard (Xhabbo) Lewis reported to Historic City News that a Kwanzaa Celebration will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Community College announces pinning ceremony

St. Johns River Community College told local Historic City News reporters that the school recently held a pinning ceremony to recognize the graduation of nursing students who earned their Associate of Science in Nursing degree.

Chocolate tour among weekend of entertainment

St. Augustine Visitors and Convention Bureau Communications Director Jay Humphreys has advised local Historic City News reporters that this weekend holds many entertaining and enjoyable activities — including St. Augustine’s Original Chocolate Tour.

Great Expectations

Around this time last year I was looking for a pair of new Converse, Chuck Taylors to be exact. I had developed a bit of a reputation for wearing plain black Chucks with writing on the white toe area.
