Percussion instruments needed for workshop

St. Patricks Day reopening for Bridge of Lions

After meeting with the rehabilitation project team earlier this week, the City of St. Augustine told local news reporters with Historic City News today that the ceremony marking the reopening of the Bridge of Lions will be on Wednesday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m.

County saves money – earns award for biodiesel

Of the 175,000 gallons of diesel fuel the county consumes each year, the Public Works Department is now capable of producing over 35,000 gallons of biodiesel fuel, approximately 20 percent, through a process that recycles waste vegetable oil.

Friends of A1A organizing two beach clean-ups

The Friends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway is in need of volunteers for a beach clean-up on March 13th at Mickler’s Landing in St. Johns County and a second one on March 27 at Mala Compra Road Beachfront Park in Flagler County.

Searle Buccaneers raid historic city again

Cathy DuPont alerted the local news desk that the reenactment of a 17th century raid on St. Augustine by Searle’s Buccaneers will necessitate intermittent disruptions of traffic in parts of downtown this Saturday, March 6th.
