Over objections – City buys troubled property
In a 3-2 split vote last night, with freshman commissioner Bill Leary and Vice Mayor Leanna Freeman objecting, Historic City News watched as Mayor Joe Boles and Commissioners Nancy Sikes-Kline and Errol Jones decided it was best for the City to purchase the property at the corner of Bridge Street and Martin Luther King Avenue.

The pirate and the cracker reach accord
When St. Augustine’s latest high-profile, millionaire attraction owner, Pat Croce, moves his Pirate and Treasure Museum from Key West to its completely rebuilt headquarters at 12 Castillo Drive South — at the epicenter and adjacent to St. Augustine’s soon-to-be-built Visitor Orientation Center — who does he employ to create and serve as registered agent for his new Florida limited liability company, Grand Marana, LLC, but local mayor-attorney Joseph L. Boles Jr.

Palm Coast car dealership burglarized
Public Information Officer Debra Johnson told local St. Johns County reporters with Historic City News that deputies in Flagler County are investigating the early Saturday morning break-in at a Palm Coast car dealership.
