Dr Warren Kluger killed in single-car crash last night
Historic City News was informed that 71-year-old Warren Sydney Kluger was killed last night after being thrown from his vehicle on SR-207.

Historic City News was informed that 71-year-old Warren Sydney Kluger was killed last night after being thrown from his vehicle on SR-207.
With the passing of the first deadline for mediation between the four artists who are challenging city ordinances that restrict their use of public spaces, the City of St Augustine reported to Historic City News that the court has approved a six-month extension to wrap up mediation before proceeding to jury trial.
It is 43-years later and we still have never punished the person responsible for the gruesome hacking death of the City’s former first lady — Athalia Ponsell Lindsley. Almost everyone who was thought to have committed the horrifying murder has died. Many of the investigators and public officials, the judge and prosecutor in the Alan Stanford trial (which ended in an acquittal) the sheriff, police chief, and members of the jury — all dead.
St Johns County sheriff, David B. Shoar, through his representative, Commander Charles E. Mulligan, told Historic City News last week that the reason he ignored the department’s nepotism policy in the final days of Fiscal 2016 is because the department has a “critical shortage” of qualified applicants to fill the existing need for additional law enforcement deputies.
On this coming Tuesday, January 24, 2017, the Saint Augustine Tea Party will receive a briefing on the ISIS situation now that President Trump has taken office. The report will be delivered by Randy McDaniels.
Historic City News was informed by the St. Augustine Art Association that a 10-day citywide Plein Air Paint Out is planned for April 21th – 30th. The event is open to local, regional and national artists and is designed to capture “Impressions of the Flagler Era.”
A 68-year old Flagler County man was arrested by St Johns County detectives late Friday afternoon. He has been charged with several sex-related crimes following a three-day investigation.
