Florida National Guard enrolls same-sex couples for benefits
Historic City News reporters were notified by Lt. Col. James Evans at Department of Military Affairs HQ in St Augustine, that today marks the first day that same-sex domestic partners of military members may enroll to receive spousal benefits.






On Wednesday, November 6, 2013, the St Johns County Chamber of Commerce Tourism and Hospitality Business Council informed local Historic City News reporters that they will hold their November meeting beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that when sheriff’s deputies responded to a shoplifting call early Sunday evening, they discovered a mobile methamphetamine lab in the suspect’s vehicle; leading to the arrest of two men and one woman.
Beach Manager Billy Zeits reported to Historic City News that, due to high tides in excess of six feet, large surf from the northeast wind, and new-moon high tides, vehicle access to southern St Johns County beaches is temporarily restricted.
