Documenting St Augustine tree inventory
The City of St Augustine is spending $12,000 to hire a Board Certified Arborist to provide an initial tree inventory that will be used to learn more about the city’s urban forest, its health, and what should be done to protect it.






Three primary agenda items, remarks from the School District Superintendent and public comments will be heard during a School Board workshop tomorrow morning according to information received by Historic City News this weekend.
Carla Traister, informed Historic City News reporters that The Sheltering Tree would hold a “Steps to Success” fundraiser on Sunday, September 16, at the Hammock Community Center located at 79 Malacompra Road in the Hammock.
In what is turning out to be a week of vehicle-vs-cyclist crashes, Historic City News learned that late last night, another SUV struck a motorcyclist; this time on A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach, according to Sheriff’s representative Corporal Catherine Payne.

A bicyclist in Palm Valley, who investigators tell Historic City News collided with a semi-truck earlier this afternoon, was transported by air ambulance to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with serious injuries; according to a report from Sheriff’s Corporal Catherine Payne.
