The Florida Department of Transportation reported to Historic City News that repairs have been completed on the southbound, outside lane of Interstate 95 at mile marker 298 after a major fire this morning that required detours and closed traffic at times through the day Wednesday.

The state is offering the tax break for five days starting Friday, August 2nd at 12:01 a.m. and lasting through 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, August 6th.
The Department of Lawyer Regulation of The Florida Bar informed local Historic City News reporters that the Florida Supreme Court has recently disciplined 27 attorneys disbarring two, revoking the licenses of four, suspending 17 and reprimanding four. Eight attorneys received additional discipline. Six had periods of probation and two were ordered to pay restitution. Disciplinary revocation is tantamount to disbarment.
Sidewalk closures Monday, July 29 through Wednesday, July 31 will be required along Avenida Menendez between the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the Bridge of Lions, according to an advisory received by Historic City News on Friday.

Historic City News was informed yesterday by the Department of Justice that a St Augustine man, 67-year-old Brian Ray Dunlap, pled guilty to attempting to entice two young children to engage in illegal sexual activity. Dunlap faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10-years to life in federal prison and a potential life term of supervised release.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Allen Nelson, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
