Hundreds attend Blessing of the Fleet
Yesterday, Historic City News reporters witnessed a ceremony that dates back to the City of St. Augustine’s Spanish occupation — the annual Blessing of the Fleet.
Riberia rehabilitation underway
At 9:00 a.m. this morning, Historic City News was on hand as the mayor, commissioners, residents and other city and other private sector dignitaries, assembled at the north end of the Marine Supply & Oil Company parking lot to break ground on the long awaited Riberia Street Rehabilitation Project.

Jay Kislak was born and educated in Hoboken, New Jersey. He received a degree in economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1942 and immediately joined the Navy, serving as a naval aviator during World War II.
