Fifth Annual Sword Swallowers Day
Historic City News reporters will be on hand tomorrow as nearly 20 sword swallowers will be “dropping swords” at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditoriums around the world in celebration of the Fifth Annual World Sword Swallower’s Day.






The Historic City News desk received word that Florida Inland Navigational District Commissioner Carl Blow will update city commissioners Monday night on plans to dredge the St. Augustine Inlet.
Assistant City Manager Tim Burchfield reported to Historic City News that after more definite figures were determined on the city’s cash flow for the coming year, he will ask St. Augustine City Commissioners to consider resolutions Monday to authorize up to $18 million in bonds.

Historic City News crime reporters have learned that 32 year-old Harry Lewis Henderson is back in custody today at the St. Johns County Detention Facility.
Historic City News received word from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday that two adults and two juveniles were arrested in connection with two separate car burglaries that occurred on Prosperity Lake Drive off of CR-210 West.
The good news is businesses are hiring again. The bad news is that a higher percentage of these new jobs are low-wage.
