Historic City News was informed that St. Johns County was awarded $3,941,336 of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act “stimulus funds” on Thursday and Commissioner Phil Mays says he is pleased to have represented the county in securing these funds.

St. Augustine Police Officer Michal Ochkie responded to an armed robbery call from Walgreens at 4:09 p.m. today, just minutes after the robbery occurred, according to a report received by Historic City News.

St. Johns County Construction Services Department reported to Historic City News the completion of the renovations to the St. Johns County Jail, which was a two-year, $12 million project.
