Hastings armed robbery reported

Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News today that on Monday evening at 9:20 p.m. deputies responded to the scene of an armed robbery at the Dollar General Store in the 100 block of North Main Street, Hastings.

Paws and Claws adoption event

Come join the St. Johns County Pet Center for a special adoption day on Saturday, October 25th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Both dogs and cats will be available for a $55 adoption fee, which includes neutering or spaying, rabies vaccinations and shots.

Meeting focuses on Florida treasure hunting

LAMP Director Chuck Meide alerted Historic City News that on Tuesday, October 21st from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. there is a public meeting at the Guana-Tolomato-Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve’s Environmental Education Center regarding proposed rule changes in the state’s policy towards treasure hunting.
