City Water to Undergo Adjustment

For a period of 30 days beginning on Thursday, October 9th, the City of St. Augustine will be adjusting the chlorine and ammonia levels which may slightly change the taste of city water according to an announcement received by Historic City News this morning.

Suspect sought in West King beating

Historic City News has learned that detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are seeking two male subjects in connection with a carjacking that occurred early Monday evening in the 600 block of W. King St.

Historic City News learned that when police attempted to pull over a pickup truck for reckless driving on U.S. Highway 1 this morning, a chase involving dozens of officers ensued.

Medical Examiner: self inflicted injury

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office are continuing the investigation into the death of a 54-year old man Monday afternoon. The victim, identified as Douglas Bryan Walter, 54, was a St. Johns County resident.

Screen Arts Gallery opens group show

Historic City News learned about the ”Secret Code” Art Exhibit opening at The Gallery at Screen Arts beginning Friday October 3, 2008 – 6pm – Midnight. Live DJs will be spinning music for the duration. The show will run thru November 30, 2008.
