Communications Director Jay Humphreys with the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau has reported to Historic City News several special events for this weekend that may be of interest to our readers.

University of Florida Facilities Planning and Construction Division, Assistant Director, Linda B. Dixon, AICP reported to Historic City News that the next meeting of the St. Augustine Historic District Strategic Plan Steering Committee will be held on October 6, 2008.

Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News this morning that Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are investigating a possible “road rage†incident that occurred Thursday night.
Historic City News has learned that Florida Public Archaeology Network is offering rides to Jacksonville for an upcoming program on historic cemeteries to be held on October 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
In an e-mail from the Neighborhood Council of St. Augustine, Inc., to the various Neighborhood Associations, Historic City News was updated on recent activities and future plans for the Council.

Historic City News has learned that local resident, Kevin O’Brien, who worked as Director of Photography on the film “Soldiers of Conscience” is finally getting to see his film aired.
