Mother arrested for child abuse

Historic City News was informed that a 39-year old St. Johns County woman was arrested this afternoon on a charge of felony child abuse after she allegedly went shopping while leaving her infant child in her vehicle while it was not running and the windows were closed.

Three arrested at Cornell Road house party

Three St. Johns County men were arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two of them were also charged with conducting an open house party this morning according to a report received by Historic City News this afternoon.

Light turn out for GOP event

There was good weather until about 2:45 p.m. this afternoon for a barbecue and political festivities to dedicate the new campaign headquarters of the Republican Party of St. Johns County — but the anticipated crowds were light.
