I’m writing about an abandoned, derelict vessel that my boyfriend and I recovered recently. The City of St Augustine allowed the vessel to sit abandoned in the Salt Run marsh for over nine months.
Historic City News was informed of the closures of local government offices in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
Thousands came to the Unidos en la Música Festival 2022

With clear skies and a stinging sun, thousands of spectators arrived at the second edition of the “Unidos en la Musica” Festival; the largest Latin music event in North Florida according to a report filed by Historic City News correspondent Raphael Cosme.
Beth Sweeny, Director of External and Government Relations for Flagler College, reported to Historic City News this week that the inaugural Finger Mullet Film Festival will be held at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum beginning Friday, May 20th and continuing through Saturday, May 21st.

Sea turtle nesting season is officially underway in St Johns County through October 31, 2022. Residents, visitors, and businesses are asked to help protect natural sea turtle habitats by observing all nesting season laws and regulations.

Leslie H. Smith, spokesperson for the Department of Lawyer Regulation of The Florida Bar informed local Historic City News reporters that the Florida Supreme Court has recently disciplined 13 attorneys, disbarring one, suspending seven, reprimanding four and revoking the licenses of one. Three attorneys were placed on probation.
