The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Assistant United States Attorney David B. Mesrobian reported to Historic City News today that 68-year-old Daniel Steven Summers pled guilty in court to committing mail fraud.

Fort Mose Historic State Park has partnered with Florida Power & Light Company and The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, with publicity donated by Historic City News, to create a self-guided educational tour experience along the Flight to Freedom Trail. Interactive signage along the 3/4-mile trail will allow the annual reenactment to be experienced year-round.
This week, the Florida Department of Transportation is commemorating Work Zone Awareness Week to remind motorists to practice extra caution when traveling through work zones. Governor DeSantis signed an official proclamation recognizing Work Zone Awareness Week with the goal of protecting vulnerable workers as they build and maintain Florida’s transportation infrastructure.

On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, Historic City News was informed of the death of 77-year-old James Gordon Rousseau. He was born in St Augustine and proud of his Minorcan heritage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester G. Rousseau and Frances Rousseau Fesperman, as well as a stepson, Charles Rardon.
