FDOT road repairs and maintenance report
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.





St Johns County Supervisor of Elections, Vicky Oakes, met with Historic City News editor Michael Gold this morning in St Augustine to review local elections that will be held next year for various offices in St Johns County.
A new candidate has come forward this morning, who says that he expects to challenge the incumbent for St Johns County Commission, District 2, in the upcoming 2014 elections.
A spokesman for Richardson Site Prep Inc. informed Historic City News that St Johns County pedestrians will soon be able to take advantage of a new section of sidewalk along SR-13; from Holly Berry Lane to Roberts Road in Fruit Cove.
Pete Weiland, President, IAFF Local 2282, Professional Firefighters of St Augustine, has invited Historic City News readers to support the Third Annual Firefighter Chili Cook-off; where the proceeds will benefit a local, regional, and national charity organization.
Tom Iacuzio reported to Historic City News that Flagler College honored Florida Senator John E. Thrasher yesterday with a Distinguished Visitor Award; bestowed upon him by Flagler College President William T. Abare, Jr.
The St Augustine Annual Christmas Parade is one of the largest in North Florida and Historic City News readers always enjoy the floats, marching bands, cars, horses, and, of course, the long awaited arrival of Santa Claus.
