North Shores candidate forum
Sacha Martin advised Historic City News reporters that North Shores Improvement Association and Vilano Beach Main Street would host candidates in the August Primary Election during a candidate forum for area residents next week.



Friends of the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve spokesperson, Teri Webley, informed local Historic City News reporters that the volunteer citizens group would not support “Alternative C” as proposed in the Fort Matanzas National Monument Management Plan.

Monday was the last day for St Johns County citizens to register to vote in the upcoming August elections; and, it was the last day for registered voters to change their party affiliation before the Primary.

The American Jail Association notified Historic City News in St Augustine that St Johns County resident Becky Quintieri has completed the requirements to become one of 345 professionals who have achieved certification in jail management through the Jail Manager Certification Commission.
