After careful consideration of the candidate’s qualifications for the office, the Historic City News Editorial Review Board has endorsed Roy Alaimo for St Johns County Commission District 3.  Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Roy Alaimo to the County Commission on December 21, 2022.  Since that time, Historic City News has watched Alaimo’s career in politics, although Editorial Board chairman Michael Gold reports having known and worked with Commissioner Alaimo for more than 15-years.

After careful consideration of the candidate’s qualifications for the office, the Historic City News Editorial Review Board has endorsed Kim J Kendall for State Representative, District 18.  For over 20 years, Kim has been advocating for her state and community.

After careful consideration of the candidate’s qualifications for the office, the Historic City News Editorial Review Board has endorsed Judson Sapp for State Representative, District 20.  This House District includes areas within St Johns, Putnam, Clay, and Marion County.  Judson is a native of Northeast Florida, he runs a successful business, helps local charities, and is raising a family here.

After careful consideration of both candidate’s qualifications for the office, the Historic City News Editorial Review Board has endorsed Brandon Patty for St Johns County Clerk of Court.  We find that Brandon is unquestionably the most qualified and experienced candidate in this race.
