The St. Johns County Engineering Division has informed Historic City News that there will be two public meetings for upcoming projects.

Yesterday, Historic City News was informed that Sgt. C. E. Mulligan, Public Information Officer for the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, was being deployed to Tallahassee.

As the City of St. Augustine continues the process of finalizing and adopting its budget for the coming fiscal year Historic City Media is reminding its readers that every opportunity is being made to inform and invite the public into this important annual activity.

In a short noticed meeting that some speculated was bound to happen, three St. Johns County Commissioners – Ron Sanchez, Tom Manuel and Ben Rich, each joined together to place a charter government proposal back on the November ballot.

In the Flagler County sheriff’s race, two familiar faces will meet in a three-cornered race in November according to information forwarded by election sources to Historic City News.

Roger Jolley is making another run for the St. Augustine City Commission — this time as Mayor. He made it clear to me in our interview this afternoon for Historic City News that he takes this race very seriously and thinks he can win.

Beginning at about 7:00 PM tonight, the public will be able to follow the unofficial election results from the Supervisor of Elections office on her website at www.sjcvotes.us.

Damage Assessment Reports in St. Johns County: The County is asking Historic City News to inform residents that if any property owner has property damage from Tropical Storm Fay, to please call the citizen hotline at 824-5550 to report the damage.
