More than a dozen hooked in prostitution sting

Fourteen men and women from around the state, including a man who ran for Sheriff of Putnam County, have been arrested at a St Augustine Beach motel during a four-day undercover operation that targeted men and women soliciting sex or offering sexual favors in return for money through advertising on a social media website.

Arrest comes in July indecent exposure incident

Historic City News was informed that a 54-year-old St Johns area resident was arrested Saturday morning after investigators obtained sufficient evidence to obtain a warrant charging that he was publicly masturbating in front of three pre-teenaged girls.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer, Deputy Paula Priester, reported to Historic City News that a cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification, apprehension and prosecution of those vandals responsible for the beheading of Venus de Milo, just after midnight on Monday, June 9th.

Inmate awaiting trial rushed from jail after suicide attempt

The 24-year old Flagler County man police tell Historic City News threatened to kill his girlfriend, her current boyfriend, and then, himself, is in Flagler Hospital in critical condition after an apparent suicide attempt that occurred inside his jail cell in the St Johns County Detention Facility.

Victim dies from hit-and-run injuries on SR-A1A

Public Affairs Sergeant Catherine Payne informed Historic City News that a 53-year-old Anastasia Island resident who was struck by a vehicle and left to die in the middle of SR-A1A just before midnight yesterday, has succumbed to his injuries and died at Flagler Hospital in St Augustine this morning.

Years of abuse led to capital sexual battery arrest

Community Affairs Sergeant, Catherine Payne, informed Historic City News that this morning, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Special Victim’s detectives arrested a man for three counts of capital sexual battery and two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.
