Accused child molester held without bond
A warrant obtained by sheriff’s detectives resulting from an investigation that began April 19, 2013, was reported to Historic City News as “served” when a local man was arrested on capital felony charges yesterday afternoon.

Historic City News was informed that a residence in the Southern Grove subdivision, north of CR-210 in St Johns County, has been declared a “drug dwelling” after sheriff’s detectives returned this morning, for the second time this week, to execute a search warrant — today’s search netting three additional arrests.
Following extensive investigation of an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 21st, Historic City News has been informed that the hunt is on for a 26-year-old St Augustine man; who police say, struck one law enforcement officer with his vehicle, and attempted to hit at least three others.
Historic City News was notified that 51-year-old John Edward Osgood, was arrested on third-degree felony charges yesterday afternoon for failure to properly register as a sex offender.
At about 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, Sergeant Catherine Payne informed Historic City News reporters that the sheriff’s office had been called to assist with a suspicious incident in the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve as forestry workers were wrapping up today’s scheduled control burn.
