Armed robbery defendant fails to hide identity

Historic City News has learned that the man apprehended by deputies shortly after 1:00 a.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Wildwood Drive, who identified himself to authorities as “Marcus Trumbly”, has been positively identified as 26-year-old Khris Antwanlyons Tobler whose last known address was 211 South Nassau Street in St Augustine.

St Johns County Sheriff’s deputies happened to be nearby last night when the Kangaroo convenience store, located at Wildwood Drive and US-1 South, became the victim of an armed robbery, according to Historic City News sources.

Lee reported to Historic City News that Sergeant Robert Dean joined Detectives Samantha English and Andy Stoinoff in serving an arrest warrant on 42-year-old Steven Roberts — the man investigators say is responsible for several residential burglaries in St Johns County.

Crime lab of top Florida law enforcement agency under suspicion

The man who was employed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a chemist in their Pensacola crime lab, and was accused on Friday of swapping illegal drugs for over-the-counter medicines, has been arrested according to an announcement from the state’s top law enforcement agency received by Historic City News.
