Historic City News was notified of a four-vehicle crash that had the northbound lanes of I-295 closed for approximately 3-hours yesterday, beginning at about 11:27 a.m.. The collision sent the driver and rear passenger to local hospitals in serious condition. The front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Historic City News has learned that a 12-year-old St Johns County girl, and her parents, will sleep better, and safer, tonight; after the arrest of a 41-year-old Canadian man who investigators say attempted to lure the girl away from her home using the Internet.

Monday evening at about 5:00 p.m., St Augustine Police Officer Bryan Johnson and Sergeant Richard Warner responded to a fight call from the Plaza de la Constitution. According to the report, one of the men involved was armed with a knife.

Tension between two St Johns County men who were involved in an ongoing dispute quickly escalated, sending both to Flagler Hospital, and one to the St Johns County Detention Facility at the Neil J Perry Criminal Justice Complex, according to a report obtained by Historic City News earlier today.

The City of St Augustine Police Department informed local Historic City News reporters of their activity over the weekend, including the arrest of a 48-year-old St Johns County man, who gave his residence address as 243 East Circle Drive in St Augustine, but remains in county jail today in lieu of $1,000 bond. At about 12:52 p.m. Friday afternoon, Historic City News was notified of a two-vehicle crash on US-1 South, just north of the I-95 intersection – involving a heavy-duty Ford FX4 extended cab pickup truck, towing a trailered boat, and a 4-door passenger sedan.
