Man found lying in street in critical condition
A Christopher Street resident was awakened shortly before 12:00 a.m. Saturday night to find an injured man lying in the road behind his home, according to a report received by Historic City News in St Augustine this evening.



Tonight, the City of St Augustine Beach will hold a special commission meeting with only one item on the agenda — a discussion of matters related to the future for the controversial St Augustine Beach Police Department.
Historic City News has learned that the body of a 29 year-old man who went into the St Johns River to retrieve a cast net, and did not resurface, has been pulled from just below the surface of the water; about 20-30 feet north of the Shands pier.
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Historic City News public safety reporters in St Augustine were notified by St Johns County Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol that an early-morning motorcycle crash on Dobbs Road resulted in both the driver and passenger being transported to area hospitals.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue responded to a skateboarding accident at approximately 5:00 p.m. this evening. 
St Augustine police and firefighters responded to a two-car crash this evening when the driver of a black Mitsubishi SUV attempted a left turn onto Malaga Street from Ponce de Leon Boulevard, but misjudged his distance from two oncoming vehicles; just steps from their respective stations.
