At about 2:17 p.m. today, the Florida Department of Corrections reported to Historic City News in St Augustine that they had located their escaped prisoner, 54 year-old Dean R Adams who has been in and out of prison in Florida on five occasions since June 1978.

An inmate serving his sentence in the West Unit of Florida State Prison in Raiford, has escaped; according to an incident report received by Historic City News last night from the Florida Department of Corrections.

Detectives with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a series of car break-ins that have occurred recently in the Ponte Vedra area, according to an alert received by local reporters at Historic City News in St Augustine.

Lt Jeremy Robshaw reported to Historic City News that St Johns County Fire Rescue responded to residential structure fire in the Heritage Park subdivision of St Augustine at approximately 3:00 a.m. yesterday morning.

St Johns County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cristie Taylor broadcast the “last call” over the police radio for former Sheriff Neil Perry this afternoon; the unanswered call for a man who was tethered to his communications center for over twenty years of law enforcement service.

A letter addressed to Historic City News and other media outlets originating from Mike Scudiero, representing the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association, informed us that, “the officers of the St. Augustine Beach Police Department have been cleared of wrongdoing in the investigation of their use of official law enforcement information systems.”
