Public Affairs Officer, FHP Lieutenant Bill Leeper, warned Historic City News readers, especially the thousands of spring-breakers who visit St. Johns County’s beautiful beaches and numerous tourist attractions every year, to “think twice” before driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Deputies from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Traffic Unit responded to a single vehicle rollover crash at 5:45 p.m. yesterday evening.

St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar told Historic City News local crime reporters that within the past two weeks, the Youth Services Unit of his agency conducted another alcohol compliance detail as a continuing part of “The Party’s Over” campaign.

Community Affairs Officer Barbara Stevens reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Police Department was called to the scene of an armed robbery at 114 Cedar Street Wednesday night at about 11:00 p.m.

In accordance with Florida State Statute 775.21, this news release will serve as public notification that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has been given information that a person judged to be a sexual predator is now residing within St. Johns County.

Historic City News crime reporters have learned that 32 year-old Harry Lewis Henderson is back in custody today at the St. Johns County Detention Facility.

Historic City News received word from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday that two adults and two juveniles were arrested in connection with two separate car burglaries that occurred on Prosperity Lake Drive off of CR-210 West.
