Vending codes approved in 7-hour session

In a marathon seven-hour session dominated by four hours of public hearings, Historic City News watched as the St. Augustine City Commission approved four ordinances and advanced a fifth to adjust city regulations to conform to court rulings.

Arrest made on extortion charges

Historic City News has learned that detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in connection with the alleged abduction of a Ponte Vedra Beach woman a week ago this past Friday.

Firefighters respond to mobile home fire

St. Johns County Fire Rescue reported to Historic City News that they responded to a residential structure fire in the 900 block of Cypress Rd. at approximately 7:15pm Sunday.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Jeremy Robshaw reported to Historic City News today that they will be conducting a special operations rescue drill Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Bridge of Lions construction site.
