British Nightwatch will impact traffic Saturday

Saturday evening, starting at 7:30 p.m., the British Nightwatch parade in downtown St Augustine will result in traffic delays and heavier than normal congestion along the parade route, according to an alert received by Historic City News this week.

Prescribed burn tomorrow at Guana Lake

The Guana-Tolomato-Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve advises local Historic City News readers that tomorrow, weather permitting, 42-acres of the coastal strand and scrub between Guana Lake and South A1A will be part of a controlled burn; located between the south beach access lot and Environmental Education Center.

The City of St Augustine announced to Historic City News that on Saturday, the 58th Annual Christmas Parade will necessitate the closing of some streets and detours of traffic to accommodate reindeer and Christmas Elvis in his Smart Car.
