Traffic stop turns into high-speed chase for two fugitives

Historic City News received word that two men who claimed to be on their way to St Augustine, fled the scene of an early morning traffic stop at SR-100 and the I‐95 north on‐ramp and leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit along Interstate-95. US Customs and Border Protection has determined that the men were unlawfully residing within the United States.

Attorney discipline orders issued from November 21st to December 26th

The Florida Bar, the state’s guardian for the integrity of the legal profession, announced to local Historic City News reporters that the Florida Supreme Court recently ordered 15 attorneys to be disciplined, disbarring five and suspending 10. One attorney was also ordered to pay restitution. Attorneys suspended for periods of 91 days and longer must undergo a rigorous process to regain their law licenses including proving rehabilitation.
