Cyndi Stevenson reported her updated schedule to Historic City News today from her first-of-five “mobile office” sessions held at the Anastasia Public Library Branch at 124 Seagrove Main St in St Augustine Beach.
Pursuant to Section 403.077, F.S., the Florida Department of Environmental Protection informed local Historic City News reporters that they have received the following Public Notice of Pollution for a reportable release that occurred within St Johns County.
At about 10:44 this morning, St Augustine police officers were called to a shooting reported in the area of Vicker’s Park located at 399 Riberia Street. Upon arrival, officers noticed a black male victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to his back.
 Communications and events coordinator for the City of St. Augustine Beach, Cindy Walker, reported to Historic City News the following events from last night’s meeting of the Beach City Commissioner.
Within the last hour, Historic City News learned of a shooting with injuries near the Willie Galimore Center on the south end of Riberia Street. The Galimore Community Center is currently on lockdown with children inside as police search for the accused gunman.

Historic City News was notified by the Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Allen Nelson, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.

Gerald (Jerry) Dennis Dixon passed away July 31, 2019, after an extended and courageous battle against leukemia. He then attended Ft Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and completed his college education at the University of Colorado earning a degree in architecture.
