Community Affairs Bureau commander, Charles Mulligan, reported to Historic City News that the investigation into the shooting of an armed man last night on SR-A1A South in St Augustine Beach is continuing by detectives with the Major Crimes Unit as well as the State Attorney’s Office.
According to the public affairs department at City Hall, one of the most frequently asked questions about St. Augustine’s three day downtown street and music festival, planned to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the founding of the city, is “What bands will be performing?”
For much of St. Augustine’s early history, wooden boats were a ubiquitous part of city life. Our ancestors built these watercraft by hand, a tradition that is now being carried forward by the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum’s Boatworks program.
