Beach community divided on police department
Prior to last week’s election, Historic City News reporters noted lines were already being drawn in one of the more controversial issues to affect the City of St Augustine Beach since the municipality incorporated in 1959 — what to do about the police department.



Anthea Manny reported to Historic City News that the Committee for the Night Watch and the St Johns County Tourist Development Council will present the 38th Annual British Night Watch and Grande Illumination Celebration on Friday November 30th and Saturday December 1st.
Jerry Kass passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Bailey Family Center for Caring. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 14, 1914, spent his early years in New York City and after graduating from high school, moved to St Augustine in 1933.
