Public Affairs Specialist Blair Heusdens reported to Historic City News that approximately twenty-six St Augustine based soldiers are preparing to depart for a yearlong deployment overseas.
James Augustine Ponce Sr. passed in his sleep peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2012, to join his wife, Jaqueline Swain Ponce, in the arms of Jesus. His son, James, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth were by his bedside.

Judy Hixenbaugh, Director of Development for The Cultural Center in Ponte Vedra Beach, told Historic City News that the inaugural “Farm to Table” event, held April 30 through May 5, has been declared a significant success.
