Historic City News reporters watched in surprise as additional speaking time and a free “ParkNow” card was offered during the public comment period of Monday’s City Commission meeting.

Historic City News reminds our readers that the St. Augustine City Commission will hold a regular meeting today at 5:00 p.m. in the Alcazar Room at City Hall, 75 King St.

In an effort to meet the financial responsibilities of the City, an “employee retirement incentive” program will be considered by our City Commission in it’s regular session Monday according to an update received by Historic City News yesterday.

Historic City News has learned that the Tourist Development Council staff is in the process of moving their offices to the new County Administration Building.
Historic City News has learned that ParkNow Cards will be given to the first 500 customers who pay their utility bill in person during the month of March.
St. Johns County Public Affairs Specialist Karen Pan reported to Historic City News that the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners adopted revised Board Rules and Policies during the regular meeting on Tuesday, February 17.

The Ides of March will have the eyes of city commissioners and guests on the variety of facilities through which our city government serves us according to an announcement received by Historic City News from the St. Augustine Report this morning.
