Historic City News is following up on this morning’s announcement that Phil Mays of Ponte Vedra has been appointed by Governor Charlie Crist to fill the St. Johns County District 4 Commission seat.

In an announcement received by Historic City News from Sterling Ivey in the public information office of Governor Charlie Crist, we learned today of the appointment of Phil Mays to serve on the St. Johns County Board of Commissioners.

All offices of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will be closed on Thursday and Friday, December 25 and 26, for the Christmas holiday. Offices also will be closed for New Years Day on Thursday, January 1.
