Hit-and-run victim critical – suspect located

The St Johns County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit reported to Historic City News that the investigation into the hit-and-run truck-vs-pedestrian collision that occurred about 2:10 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Krystal on US-1 South, is moving forward.

Investigation leads to arrest in hit-and-run death

Historic City News previously reported that 53-year-old Anastasia Island resident, Robert Dale Louk, had been struck by a passing white Toyota pick-up truck just before midnight on July 8, 2014, and left to die in the middle of SR-A1A. He succumbed to his injuries and died at Flagler Hospital in St Augustine the following morning.

Fleeing felon charged with death of K-9 Baron

The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit reports to Historic City News that they were able to obtain and have served an arrest warrant naming 27-year-old Brandon Bernard Allison in connection with the death of K-9 Baron during an encounter with the police dog while trying to flee Deputy Farrah Ashe.

Kentucky man arrested after year-long affair with St Johns County teen

Sheriff’s Media Relations Officer, Kevin Kelshaw, told local Historic City News reporters, that a 37-year old Lexington, Kentucky man has been arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior against a minor and traveling to meet a minor after using a computer to lure a child over the weekend.

Ponte Vedra Beach man apparently drowned

Historic City News was informed that St Johns County Marine Rescue swimmers pulled a drowning victim from the surf off of Ponte Vedra Beach near 1109 Ponte Vedra Boulevard at Mickler’s Landing about 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
