Lieutenant Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer for St. Johns County Fire Rescue, reported to Historic City News that firefighters had to return to a South Ponte Vedra Beach residence yesterday after high onshore winds contributed to the re-ignition of a structure fire from the previous night.

In accordance with Florida State Statute 775.21, this news release will serve as public notification that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has been given information that a person judged to be a sexual predator is now residing within St. Johns County.

St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar informed Historic City News today that during the past few months, deputies have been investigating various crimes in the Northwest District of the county — making arrests of several youthful offenders.

Chuck Mulligan, representative for the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, reported to Historic City News that emergency responders are working multiple crashes, some with injuries, on I-95 and CR-210 southbound.

Traffic Homicide Investigators with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Section are investigating a crash that led to an early morning traffic fatality that occurred around 1:00 a.m., this morning.

Jeremy Robshaw updated Historic City News this morning on the investigation of the fire at 289 Southlake Drive in St. Augustine early Saturday; where 94-year old widow, Charlotte R. Leiser, died.

Historic City News learned that Saint Augustine Police responded to 24 Cathedral Place this afternoon; after a Wells Fargo Bank teller reported that they were robbed by a man carrying a handgun.
