FDOT road repairs and maintenance report

Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.

A man was caught on surveillance video inside the local Target as he took a cellular telephone and a backpack, then left the store without paying for the merchandise.

Historic City News editor Michael Gold, an elected member of St Johns County’s Republican Executive Committee, was in attendance Thursday evening to hear many of the candidates who will appear on the ballot for the Republican Special Election January 27th.

City poised to increase parking fines by more than 40%

The City’s chief financial officer, Mark Litzinger, has informed City Manager John Regan and Historic City News local reporters that the fines collected for parking violations have remained the same since 2006; and Monday night, he will try to remedy that — what he sees as a problem.

Probationer arrested and charged with filing false report

Investigators are telling Historic City News that in order to avoid an appointment with her probation officer, a local woman concocted a detailed, horrific story that sent deputies on a wild goose chase in search of an assailant they now believe never existed.

Flagler is second county to install crime prevention kiosks

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office reported to Historic City News that the agency has made a recent investment in several electronic kiosks which Sheriff James L. Manfre says will attract the public’s attention and will help prevent crime.
