Sheriff reports 17 dead in Broward County school shooting

The Broward county sheriff said 17 people are dead in the Wednesday shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the city of Parkland, northwest of Fort Lauderdale. He said the shooter is in custody, according to a 10:00 p.m. press update received by Historic City News.

The roadway reopened to traffic at the entrance to the Coquina Crossing subdivision on SR-207 at about 10:00 p.m. last night; after troopers concluded a three-hour investigation of the serious crash occurring when a vehicle attempted to make a left turn into on-coming traffic.
