A former St Johns County man, living in a St Augustine trailer park, 30-year-old Romeo Xavier Langhorne, has been charged with “attempting to provide material support and resources” to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) a designated foreign terrorist organization according to the indictment reported to Historic City News.
A newly elected slate of officers will welcome St Johns County District 5 Commissioner Henry Dean to address the next meeting of the St. Johns County Civic Association Roundtable when they convene on Monday, December 9th.

Historic City News reporters learned that the Federal Bureau of Investigation ran 202,465 criminal background checks on Black Friday alone this year, seen as a strong indicator of gun sales. In fact, according to an article published by the Associated Press, at the close of November, more than 25.4 million record checks had been conducted by the FBI.

St Johns County state legislator Cyndi Stevenson will try again to secure funding to preserve the tower of the iconic St Augustine Lighthouse. Since 2017, the St Augustine Republican has unsuccessfully pushed for the St Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars for preservation and repairs each session.
