Wells Fargo senior economist addresses Chamber
Beau Phillips reported to Historic City News that more than 100 business leaders gathered this morning for the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly Economic Development Council breakfast to hear Wells Fargo Senior Economist Mark Vitner.


In an article that appeared last night in the Jacksonville Business Journal online edition, Christian Conte reported that Journal Community Publishing Group of Milwaukee has sold the last of its Florida publications — the weekly Ponte Vedra Recorder and Clay Today, as well as the First Coast Register, Car Connection and the St. Augustine Underground.


Historic City News was with Florida Governor Rick Scott, State Senator John Thrasher and State Representative William Proctor yesterday when the officials visited with business leaders in St. Johns County to discuss how to stimulate growth and create jobs.
St. Johns County has announced to Historic City News that they are currently accepting applications for the following board and committee vacancies.


Public Information Officer Mark Samson reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Police Department was called to Edwards Paint and Body Shop on Pacific Street earlier today; regarding a burglary and theft of a 2002 Cadillac.
After a year-long study by City staff, the commission has agreed to a fee increase for daily users of the Historic Downtown Parking Facility; granting a break for local residents who are holders of a ParkNow card which are sold by the City Finance Department.
