Public Information Officer Mark Samson reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Police Department was called to Edwards Paint and Body Shop on Pacific Street earlier today; regarding a burglary and theft of a 2002 Cadillac.
After a year-long study by City staff, the commission has agreed to a fee increase for daily users of the Historic Downtown Parking Facility; granting a break for local residents who are holders of a ParkNow card which are sold by the City Finance Department.

Historic City News was informed that Florida’s Weatherization Assistance Program, offered through St. Johns Housing Partnership, provides free repairs and updates to eligible, low-income homeowners in St. Johns and Clay counties.
Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that a six-month joint investigation titled “Operation Shopping Spree”, looking into illegally obtaining prescription pills by fraud, has thus far resulted in 18 arrests and issuance of an outstanding warrant for another.
Donna Lueders, Executive Director of the St. Johns County Education Foundation informed Historic City News reporters that tomorrow, teachers in the local school district will be given donations of school supplies collected during this year’s “Tools 4 Schools” drive.
